Dang man, lay off the 7 Porterhouses per day, and maybe try a salad? ;)

I'm 6', 180lbs, and the base cloth seats in my GTPP fit me like a glove. So much so that I don't think I'd like the Recaros much. They're definitely an upgrade over my previous Mustang's seats, too, which didn't have anywhere near enough bolstering. I also sit closer and higher up than most people my height, because I feel it gives me better clutch control, and front visibility.

I have the leather premium seats. I'm not a big guy. Now that the OP mentions it, the bottom (where my azz sits) could be a little firmer. It doesn't bother me though. If I'm driving agressive and maneuvering curves my body isn't snug in the seat. My body wants to slide around. I guess that's where Recaros are a plus. On the other hand, I understand that for long distance driving, Recaros are not the best choice.

I'm not impressed with seat quality, from foam to leather. A couple of old fords had good design 1991 explorer, 2007 focus, 2001 f350.

I made a ridiculous video showing the features of the seats off side by side.

For a performance car, the GT really has a lot to make up for in this department.

Visit a dealer, maybe the one you bought from, and sit in the Recaro's. That will give you an idea of what they offer. They do break in a bit but still fit like a glove. I'll say my wife and I did a couple long drives from Sac to Vegas then to LA and back in them twice now. They didn't tire either one of us out on the drive. They came with my GT/PP - I didn't seek them out. Personally I was looking for the seats with heat/cooling but these work in the end and I'm happy.

Only draw back if I was to be honest is that they are manual. I would have rather had something that saved one or two driver settings and auto slide back when the car is off. Minor complaint but once the car is off and I want out I manually reach down and slide her back. No big but when I look at what I paid for the car I'm thinking Ford or Recaro could have added that to the deal. Just me :)

I believe the recaro's are manual was so the seat would be lower.

The seats in the GT are comfortable but the foam is garbage and the leather feels like pleather. The bottom seat side bolsters are as stiff as a soggy soup sandwich. But bottom line they are comfortable as fuck and the cooled seats are the cats ass.

The bottom of my seat in my car with only 5000 km is more wrinkley and smooshed than my 2008 Infiniti FX35 with 200000km. I don't expect these seats to wear well at all but I don't plan on putting it in a museam or having it till I die so it is what it is.

Parking it in the hot sun for a day seems to let it pop back quite a bit. Maybe if I water it too that'll make them new again lol.

Ford should really offer some premium seats, all the heat/cool is nice same with power memory. But were sitting on metal pan with 2" foam and leather that has been so processed even the pattern is stamped in. How about a suspension seat that breaths and has springs so it can adjust to movement. With all the new materials seats didn't get better to sit on, just look better. I was looking at Jaguar they offer many choices.
