Sounds probable to me. Wacky idle makes sense too in this scenario. A 4 cylinder without any weight on the crank will idle like shit.

So only part of drivetrain replaced was the engine, correct?
It was originally a 6R80 setup?
Did you remove the bell housing inspection cover and check to make sure the torque converter is bolted to the flex plate like others have said above AND make sure those bolts are tightened all the way down?
If one of those bolts are sticking up the slightest, it’s going to jamb the torque converter...

Well guys update, since I gave up on it after trying for a few days of every possible scenario. I had a shop come get it, they said trans is gone. So getting a used trans installed .

WTF. Engine swap and got a burnt trans? Must be more to that story maybe. How did the engine fail?

Ugh I was assuming there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Asking how the engine failed is a good question now. If the clutch packs are toast due to the nature of the failure that would explain it.

Just to let out a little truth ( OP ) has been keeping secretive about the details of whom , what and why withalls that pertain to his ordeal with this specifically How ..
All that myself and a few others have been able to do is give ( OP ) enough leeway and assistance for him to perform needed expert direction ..
To little to no avail ( OP ) has endured a lengthy process to get his ecoboost back to driveable condition ..
