shifting problem

I've noticed this maybe last week. whenever I'm cruising in either drive or sport mode, before i engage to 6th gear, car revs up to 3k then back down to 2k into 6th gear. and while it does that i feel a jerk on my car. I'm not sure if its coming from the transmission or somewhere else. kinda loud too. when I'm driving i don't use pedal shifters, just let the car shift itself. this doesn't happen all the time, but maybe 2 times a week.
