If it's possible, can you update us with a pic of the failed component?
I would love to. I'll ask them to keep the part for me and I'll post a pic if I can get my hands on it. They may not want to hand over the parts or throw it away before I can get it. But I will ask for the blown line.

I am sure they will need to keep the part for the warranty claim but they might let you get a picture of it.

This is what the dealership will probably do. They have to return the part for analysis. I have found my dealership to be very flexible in getting some photos before they ship it off.

Im sure Ford will want that hose for QC purposes. I would be surprised if the dealer gave it up.

After driving it home it was low 3 quarts. I added 3 and was above the fill line which is ok cause it would have leaked more the get it to Ford.

I can't recall exactly where I read about the lines before but I kinda remember the lines were loose or not connected properly on someone's car causing a leak. Lines had to be replaced. Same as mine now. Dealer said the the cooler line was leaking. Not the cooler and not a seal. Had to order new lines. This dealer doesn't have any experience at all fixing the new gt500 so it takes longer for everything.
Wasn’t that the transmission lines that were loose/not properly installed?

I will be interesting to see where the leak originated. A bad fitting (maybe Ford over tightened, crack, etc) or the hose itself blew out (weak, hit something, burn mark, etc)

Glad you made it home without a tow and hopefully nothing major after the line gets fixed.

Glad your car seems to be ok and getting fixed.

Not only did he drive it home, he drove it to the dealership the next day.

Balls I say, big balls. I would have gotten a tow after stopping the first time smoke was billowing out the back.

Completely agree. No way I’d drive any car with the oil pumping out of it

I'm not sure towing these cars is as straightforward as towing other cars. Seems you would need a rig that could get under the front lip or grab the front wheels from the side. Depending on what AAA sent out it could be hit and miss.

OP can't wait to hear what the dealer says. Hopefully they don't give you the run around about warranty work.

Updated the op with a pic. Line blew completely out of the rubber hose.

Looks like fatigue/failure to me. That’s why I don’t like it.

Almost looks like something from the road may have caught and cut it.
That part of the line is inside the bumper cover and the belly pan covers what's not. Under the front is pretty sealed. Nothing can get in there without major damage. It simply blew out.

Looks like it was rubbing on something. Does that end attach directly to the cooler?
