I have Ford Performance springs, so time will tell if clearance becomes an issue. I think it will be okay with added caution.I am torn between a Hellion TT kit or a fathouse 800 Whipple package. More than sheer power I want reliability and ease of use. I don’t feel like constantly chasing issues which has happened to me before with turbo kits. On the other hand I have talked to several people who have put 30-40k miles on Hellion kits without a single problem.
It would be much easier to do Hellion due to being near palm beach dyno. I just am impressed with the quality of the fathouse setup and there is just less moving parts with a whipple.
Probably will end up doing the hellion just because it’s so much easier to get the car to the shop, but haven’t decided yet.
I originally worked with Fathouse and was going to send them my car. Truthfully, I just could not justify the Fathouse premium over my build. Their 800R turbo package is $55k; when you add in the suspension stuff I did and the trans, I was going to be well over $60k.
Their Whipple package is $23k, so much more reasonable. I would not shy away from turbos.
