Android Auto via Bluetooth

Is there a way to use Android Auto using bluetooth connectivity instead of via the USB cable on these cars?

Oh okay. Good to know. My last Mustang was a 2012 so no Android Auto at all. I had just assumed that it would work through Bluetooth. I guess the apple equivalent does though right?

No its wired only.

What Schwerin said above, both can support wireless, but I don't think anyone other than BMW supports wireless Carplay from the factory, there are some aftermarket headunits that do though.
