Why does Anderson’s Composites recommend not to mount any wings or spoilers to any of their trunk lids?

Any why is the dry/matte carbon so much more expensive than the gloss coated one?

Adding a wing to a carbon fiber decklid requires additional support on the backside of the deck. The downforce will put more stress on the mounting area of the wing. Some racers have slots through their decklid to fasten the wing which pushes down on the frame of the vehicle.
Dry carbon fiber is made with different fabric and process. The carbon fiber fabric has pre-impregnated resin in the fabric. The part is heated and pressurized which results with lighter part with higher tensile strength. That is why it costs more.
