Looks great! I went with Ultra & EXOv4 on mine. So easy to keep clean, can't beat the ceramic coatings.

You nailed it with saying its therapeutic. Something very relaxing about cleaning them. And, you get to enjoy the results after. When a customer brings a car in I am more excited than the customer is lol. Some of my other work. So nice to talk to another detailer lol

Got started with the coating fairly early this morning. By the end of the day, I had pitched quite a few suede squares and MF towels, all into the trash...(I hate that part.) But, by 1400 I had all the horizontals, the front, and the driver's side coated. That was enough for one day, I was beat. I'll finish the rest of the vehicle tomorrow then polish the wing, coat it (and probably the OEM vent.)

The last thing is a dose of Reload after everything cures. A couple photos after a long day....

I wouldn't mind at all, Jamie but I'll betcha those SA folks will put a serious polish on your girl so all you'll have to do is the ceramic. Not difficult just time-consuming. I'm gonna need a few days rest after this little project.

Maybe so, but there ain't no way they give the KB love treatment, lol. Maybe by the time I get it back you will be ready for a trip.

Anyway, great work buddy!

There is nothing more satisfying than cleaning wheels that have been ceramic coated. Even after heavy track days it is damn near spray and walk away.

No doubt about it Jaime, it is definitely love. And who knows, I may get a hankerin' for some chowder. <smiling>

BTW, I meant to ask this awhile back and forgot. Are they leaving any PPF on your girl?

Amazing work KB!
DFB: Thanks, bro and I've always wanted to see your country but never managed to get down that way. :-)

We got the chowdaaaah in the world buddy, come on up!

So about the PPF..... it was collateral damage to the process. As you know I am getting a new carbon fiber hood, so that's obvious. The front bumper cover, roof, trunk lid, and rear bumper cover are getting painted OTT strips, so the PPF has to come off. The front fenders, and doors are getting painted side stripes, so the PPF has to come off. The rear quarters are getting thick, so the PPF has to come off.

So...... I will be getting that done again later this year. SA does PPF, but they do not do it on cars until the paint is 3 months old, so I will be getting that done at the end of the year.

Damn sorry, Jaime, but I had a feeling that might be the situation. NBD, it's just moolah and it doesn't change the once in a lifetime ownership of a real, N/S, Shelby.

Hindsight is always 20/20 LOL. Now why didn’t my mind know I would send my car to Shelby BEFORE I had PPF applied?

If there was one negative about being one of the very first to get my car, it would be that Shelby announced the Signature Edition 6 months AFTER I took delivery. But then again I probably would have passed due to the cost of buying and converting the car all at once.

Anyway, enough off topic banter, back to your regularly scheduled programming. Nice work buddy.

You gave me a grin, Jaime...

Got about done what I expected today...door jams, rear end, and passenger side so the coating of the car is complete...damn that took awhile. Polished the wing and put ceramic on the top surface and tips. That'll cure overnight and then I'll do the underside and possibly the OEM vent.

Timing should be about perfect as I'm waiting on gasket material from Thomasino that I hope will be here tomorrow. If so, I can get the wing re-installed and maybe the vent, too.

Today's snapshots...
