I couldn't find a thread that summarizes all the differences between the handling pack and the non-hp mach 1's, and there seems to be more than what Ford mentions in their sales papers. The most obvious differences which are mentioned in the papers are the following:
  • Rear wing and front chin splitter
  • Cambering plates
  • Tires and Handling pack wheels
  • Special chassis tuning
What Ford mentions on top of the obvious is " Special Chassis tuning" for the Mach 1 HP, which is quite vague and unclear, pointing to another marketing trick for justifying the higher price.
  • There was another thread describing a difference in the sway bar stiffness between the HP and NON-HP versions, where the HP version was somewhat closer to the Ford Performance sway bar kit in terms of specs.
  • The supplementary user guide for Mach 1 differentiates the alignment specs for HP and Non-HP versions, however if I'm not mistaken, the HP version does not come with the camber plates pre-installed, they come separately, so I assume the "initial" alignment of the HP and Non HP shall be identical or close to identical.
My question is are there more differences between the HP and NON-HP that are hidden behind the "Special chassis tuning". e.g. does anyone have idea if the Magneride shocks setup is also different?

Nope..been gone through over and over for years. The cars are identical less bolt ons.Wheels, tires, one sway bar, springs and camber plates plus cosmetic wheel trim and spoilers.

Thank you, guys, I have overseen the suspension details were indeed listed in the supplement. Glad it is mechanical bolt-on differences only and nothing hidden. I am planning to upgrade my non-hp m1 to at least the specs of the track pack, still keeping it daily driveable and comfortable.
Cheers!

Cool.

But whatā€™s a ā€œtrack packā€ as it relates to a ā€˜21-ā€˜23 Mach 1?

I noticed you are from Bulgaria, so assuming it's not a USDM import, you will also be missing the Torsen, 3.73 gears (if you are an M6) and the centre gauges :frown:

Yeah, this is correct, but I skipped mentioning it on purpose. I have the M6 and was looking at Ford Performance pinion and gear set to get it to the 3.75:1 ratio, as well as the Torsen diff and the rest of the stuff needed for installation, but for the time being it is not immediate priority... I was actually planning on getting a QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft and do the diff upgrade altogether some time in the future, but those things are kind of hard to get around here, so I'll postpone this for a while. Either way, the 10A even in the states have 3.55 final drive ratio, so it is OK.

Currently I have the easiest stuff readily available - the spolier and the front splitter.
Next on the list would be the Ford Performance sway bar kit.
I'm still considering the Steeda dual-rate magneride compatible springs, but I'm concerned around the height resuction. Here is not exactly perfect road conditions, so I have to really think about whether this 1 inch lowering will give me headaches...
[EDIT] I am also thinking about camber plates, but can't decide on those as well. The ones I'm looking after are the Steeda cambering plates and the PEDDERS cambering plates. I like the pedders have a scale on them punched-in in the metal...
Also considering the HP wheels as a third set for race days only. I have the 5-spoke wheels that came standard, as well as the "appearance package" ones. One set is in winter rubber, the other is the Michelin that came with the car. I was thinking about APEX square set up for track, still considering it, can't decide yet...
Already have the AirRaid blue washable filter...

One thing that I may not be really able to get here is the gauge cluster and the proper mach 1 brushed metal dash trim that comes with it... Still looking for options, but this is the cosmetic that I really care the least

Sorry, my bad, I have interchangeably used track pack instead of handling package. Still I meant the same thing - getting it to the specs of Handling Package (to the least)...

If you're worried about the drop on the Steeda Dual rate springs then the Ford Mach 1 HP springs have slightly less drop: 0.5" for the Ford vs the 0.75" (I think) for the Steeda ones. Not a great difference but I wanted to keep all the ride height I could!
I also stuck with the Ford M1 HP camber plates due to advice from the shop that did all the work to my car.

If you're going for the M1 HP wheels - which in my opinion really suit the car particularly with the spoiler / splitter - then you'll need the Front Wheel Lip Mouldings and Rear Splash Guards.

Do you already have the M1 Strut Tower brace? That was another thing we didn't get in the UK.

As for the gear ratios / diff... not ruling this out if I ever have an issue with the diff that needs fixing but don't really think I'll get much benefit from it.

Finally for me, I'm not sure the gauges really fit in with the rest of the car - if I had an analogue dash I'd want them, but with the digital cluster and Sync 3 screen I think they might look a bit out of place.
At least your car is LHD so you could buy all the bits if you wanted though!

Thank you for the heads-up on the camber plates, here we don't really have people who have even seen the original Ford ones. Neither I can order the US parts from the Ford local dealership, so I have to get them either from Steeda Europe or alternative deliveries. Same applies to the Mach 1 HP springs.

The wheels - yes, I will need the additional arches as the law is a bit vague here whether protruding tires is legal or not. So better be one the safe side. I guess it applies to apex wheels as well. This however would be valid on public roads only, on track nobody cares.

The strut tower brace - yes, at least we have that. I guess the UK don't get it because of the RHD. I remember the 2015 when landed in UK lost even more HP because they had to shrink the intake manifold to accommodate the RHD steering.

The gear ratios - I have 3 more years to think about it as my hands are tied because of warranty. If I stick to ford parts there's no issue in general, but it is tricky around here how much you can play around with the car and not void warranty. Same with the CF driveshaft...

The Gauges - I love the old school vibe of the 2015-2017 analogue dash. I agree the gauges would match it better, still the GT500 gauges with the oil pressure and oil temp make sense for me. And I. Love the looks... Also, I know the US spec M1 non hp has the wiring already, but I have no clue whether the EU / exports have the wires already... So I will have to check on that too...

The HP Package is all about the awesome looking rims(CUP 2 trash for street, you need Michelin PS4S or similar tires), that front lip, gurney flap and the wheel moldings.

And I am gladly daily driving with all these on it is very comfortable, stock HP height is fine but if you lower anymore your front lip is a goner. I angle my approach its not bad though only steep driveways.

I disagree about the gauges, I think they fit the car perfectly and look great.

We're quite lucky here in the UK that there is a performance specialist who brings in a lot of S550 parts - I bought a lot of my parts from there, mainly the big stuff! I probably could have done it cheaper if I'd brought it over myself with a shipping agent / consolidator, but I was happy for them to take the risk!
I'm sure you could find a good agent locally. There's other guys in Europe who have done similar in other countries, I think @Charlemagne did that with his HP wheels etc.

For smaller things like the camber plates I just go straight to @LevittownFordParts - they've always been excellent, knowledgeable and really helpful to me.

I like the front wheel arch mouldings - I wasn't sure I would at first, but they look good on the car and if you're running the HP tyre sizes you will need them just to reduce stone chips! The rears were one of the first things I did even before I changed the wheels etc.

Glad you got the brace, I can't really complain that it was missing from my car as I was just glad to get it in RHD! :)

I know what you mean about warranty, I've got a couple of years left and will definitely be leaving drivetrain stuff alone until after it's gone.

Glad you like the gauges - at least you can get an LHD dash trim panel, assuming the wiring is all there, hope you're able to find out and make it happen!
