Yea those headlight bulges are very Aston. That really leans on the far end of the Euro spectrum, I'm hoping the side contours and hood aren't so smooth. Almost makes the DBS look more muscled up than the render.

I really like the Indian autos concept above. It is the best looking front render to date IMO. If ford can get close to that concept, and take cues from the following pics of the side and rear, they will have a winner.

We have a concept based on the Topnotch sketch Jimmy. We fattened it up and used the EVOS's chin profile. TN's sketch has a more appropriate location... The S550's beltline is higher than what is shown on the M6G concept below.

Here are the belt line improvements up close. Also, headlamp, and lower lip work done. Fangs added but not perfect. Ride height increased as well...

Front fender crease manipulated to line up with the center of the headlamp. Hood shelf bulk added to compensate for the new fender line.

Fangs of the Cobra added both top and bottom...

If Ford was to have skipped the 05-14 generation and just jumped from the new edge to the S550 it fits in line perfectly..other than that I'm not really impressed at all with the direction this seems to be going

Based on that logic, then the S197 design should've be produced in 1974 if it needs to evolve in a way that makes sense?

If you look at the different generations there's not a whole lot of simple evolution of each prior generation that went on. The Mustang has simply always been what it needed to be at the time and what people's preferences/pocketbooks told them.

For the record, I think what we've seen of the S550 so far actually looks like an evolution of the S197. It may have some New Edge to it but for the most part the proportions and profile don't look that different. Definitely not as drastic as 2nd to 3rd gen or 4th to 5th gen.

Interesting. I actually thought very similar as the previous Volvo Ford connection. Thought that Volvo maybe knows something and is trying to steal Ford Mustang thunder. The finishing touches wood differ but the shapes could work. I like it.

According to who? The Volvo concept is just as much, if not more Mustang than half of the renderings we have seen...

Just as the S550 has modernized the Mustang cues...

He was talking about the rear design which is the LEAST mustang thing about it. It's a nice looking car and I agree the silhouette has some Mustang feel to it but just not that rear please.
