Hi everyone,

2018 GT PP1 and I enjoy 1/4 mile. I use rear wheel VMS 17x10 wheels with a nitto 555r2 305/17/45 tire. I am having some steeda linear drag springs put on this summer as well.

I am dropping off my car soon at the ford dealer for a full service of brake fluid, coolant flush, rear diff fluid change, and transmission fluid change service.

I going to get an alignment and the service guy said he was going to ask some techs when I asked him if I should put my stock PP1 wheels back on.

What is the best way to do this. Bring the car with stock suspension and stock PP1 wheels, get the alignment check / corrections and then put the drag springs on, and put the drag radials back on?

I was also curious for the 1/4 mile is there a better camber I should have the car set to?

I am unsure of what stock camber / alignment is set to.

Thanks

Don’t bother with the alignment until you have the springs installed. Spring installs require removal of the front strut, which will dictate an alignment after reinstalling. The resultant change in ride height will also require alignment changes.
If you’re having the dealer do it, I highly recommend installing the stock wheels, since that’s what they would be used to working with.
Alternately, skip the dealer for your alignment and find a local performance shop that will put in the time to nail the specs down to the finest detail. Dealers are typically best at getting the alignment numbers within an acceptable range, but on the S550 that still leaves a lot to be desired.

Do not waste your time until springs have been installed as mentioned previously. Set rear camber as close to 0 as possible. - 010 to -0.13 for rear toe. As recommended by BMR tech

This is correct. had r888's on with factory alignment this is how they wore. I got my shop to do less than 1/2 degree of camber. I had my drag setup on. No rub believe it or not. Popped my best 1/4 mile ever at 3000+ DA I'm lowered as well

Wow thats crazy wear.

So have a performance shop set the rear camber as close to 0 as possible and then - 010 to -0.13 for rear toe.

Any suggested what I should do for the front?

Personally, if you are daily driving i would keep 1/4 to half a degree of camber in the rear. With factory toe. And on the front, I would stay a little bit closer to factory, but that's dependent on how wide of a tire you have on the front if it's really wide, take a little bit of camber out of it. Those toyos were 325's, so it just exacerbated the tire wear.

There is not much adjustability in the suspension without aftermarket parts FYI. I have the Steeda Billet Camber Arm, and Toe Links. Up front you might need camber plates to get what you want. My local speed shop gave me 1 degree of camber in the rear. Hoping to head to the track soon.

Good catch I didn't really take into account that I have. My suspension completely done. I have coilovers so I do have the camber plate adjustment in the front.
