I lowered my car 1" with the Eibach Pro Kit springs.

I went to get an alignment at the local Ford dealer. They were unable to adjust anything they said.

My driver side camber and toe are way out of spec. I know front camber is not adjustable. Toe is though I believe. So wouldn't adjusting the toe also adjust the camber more into spec?

Currently my front settings are:


Driver side -2 camber
-0.41 toe


Passenger side -1.2 camber

0.01 toe.

I measured both sides of front end and floor to fender is identical on both sides.

For some reason I'm having trouble finding any decent alignment shops.

I know I can get camber bolts but I'd rather just have a place that knows what they are doing align it.

Unless I'm mistaken but I'd think adjusting the toe back to spec would being the camber with it no? Is the toe out enough that it should bring the camber back to around -1.2 or so to match the other side?

Order some toe plates. Longacre should have some affordable ones.

Zero the toe out - then check the angle of the wheels with an angle finder or your smartphone with the "leveler" app, or something similar.

Pretty easy stuff. Loosen the toe rod end and adjust in/out and pay attention to the gauge on your wheel.

I took it to Firestone and they were able to align it well. Or I think so at least.

Final numbers for front they got were

Driver side -1.8 passenger side -1.6

caster driver side 7.3 passenger side 7.2

Toe driver side 0.00 passenger side -0.01


Rear

Camber driver side -1.7 passenger side -1.8

Toe driver side 0.13 passenger side 0.14

totel toe 0.27 (too much toe?)

totel toe 0.27 (too much toe?)

Rear is absolute spot on, you can run upto 30 minutes toe in on rear across axle, factory is 23 minutes so 11/12 either side. 30 minutes is fine will actually help with traction of the line and make oversteer more progressive having a tad more.

The front needs a little less camber though, aim for 1.35-1.45, front camber should always be a bit less than rear camber and if this is a road car then aim for 1.35, if you do auto X then your current settings are kind of OK.

Get the camber bolts, car will have better road manners and more wet grip running -1.35 negative camber up front. :)

I would disagree. -1.7 to 1.8 is just fine. The amount of wear on the inside shoulder at those settings will be absolutely negligible. Secondly the car is going to handle better with more camber, not less. The change in wet handling going from -1.7 to 1.35 will be unmeasurable.

OP, your alignment settings are just fine. I used to DD at -3.0* camber with a previous car. And even then the wear on the inside shoulder wasn't bad at all. Of course I drove the piss out of the car.....

Thanks for the info. Car is strictly a nice weather car so I'm not worried about wet traction.

Would it be better adding a tiny bit more rear camber? To say -2 both sides or so? I think anything under 2.8 or so doesn't hurt forward traction.

Are you tracking the car? If not, don't worry about it. If you are, I'd be adding a lot more camber in the front, and just a tad in the rear. -2.5 to 3.0 front and -2ish in the rear.
