What air tube... lol
Nice thing about building your own car is you can remove or add just about everything and anything (stupid or smart)!

Why do you always comment about how you just make your own stuff, but never contribute anything helpful?
Lots of people remove the tube and put a center cap in it, perfect fit apparently.

I’d like to imagine that the air in that reserve could be bemeficial on a wot. Stored til really needed and sucked in. That’s why I personally left mine

Ie let’s say we aren’t moving much yet and you gas hard, that’s a chamber of air for disposal on command

It's OK to change stuff, try something different, if it doesn't work, change it back! Ford does some stuff because they have to by Federal Law... Car Guys have the freedom to "modify"
Enjoy! Have fun!!

Your link is for the resonator on the intake tube from the air box to the TB. The resonator before the air box is just to quiet it down. The 18 and up don't have it from the factory.

The new engines don’t have one? Interesting

Does it just pop out, and can insert a cap? Cover?

The resonator before the airbox is eliminated on the 18 and newer GT's. The resonator in the air tube is still there.

I'll post a pic if you don't believe me.

Air box is the same size, air tube is larger in diameter. I have one of each.

Turbo might need it to meet noise requirements.
