So ur saying there is no hp increase?
The reason it doesn't need a tune is that it has a restrictor in it to limit air flow to the same a factory, so the computer doesn't get confused. Same airflow means same power level. But it's sure pretty.

You can get the Air Raid, run with the restrictor, then when you have another $400 or so you can get a tune and pull the restrictor. Double hit.

I also don't like the airraid logos all over their stuff, enough that I won't buy it most likely

Wow 15hp and no tune required...might have to get that!
Nope.

Ran car stock on dyno in St. Louis back in Feb and got 373 WHP. Ran car with Airaid CAI and a FRPP Sport exhaust and got 376 WHP. A BAMA tune with that set up netted 385 WHP. That thing is like the stock box... The MAF housing is the same diameter. The only benefit is it looks great under the hood and the air filter is superior to OEM. I think either Livernois or Steeda makes one that looks identical to the Airaid box, and can be run without a tune. However, that box has a venturi inlet tube that can be removed to widen the diameter of the MAF housing. A good tune would account for the increased volume of air and add more fuel giving you more smiles.

On the S197, the Airaid box has that option. Not sure why the S550 boxes are so lame.

When I did own an Airaid, I just pulled the yellow bubble sticker off and saved it. The logo on the silicon tube that connects to the throttle body can be rotated around so that it's not visible. The only one I had to deal with was the one on the plexiglass, which wasn't too bad.

The airaid race intake does not require a tune.
yes, but it's more of a hot air intake :) With high speed at the track that's not a problem, but in slow traffic your inlet temps will be much higher than with the regular airaid.

does airaid mess up the factory warranty
No. Some dealerships can be picky with these things depending on the issue but if you've got squealing brakes they can't blame your aftermarket intake. Now if your MAF sensor goes bad or the TP sensor fails then you may or may not have to fight them a bit. The majority of aftermarket parts that change things with performance are not going to be warranty friendly, but as I said they can really only affect certain parts and not the entire warranty. Ford's warranty is a joke anyway, 3yr 36k is one of the worst out there, if not the worst. If you have enough money to add parts to your car then you have enough money to pay when things are broken because of them, if you are not in this situation then your best bet is to just to visual mods as those don't affect anything other than personal taste.

no tune intakes, save the $$ imo, we really like the jlt or roush cai's paired with our lund custom tunes, quite a noticeable difference in how the car runs / responds

if your not wanting to tune at all, we do offer the jms pedal max to help throttle calibration

the biggest benefit to the non tune intakes is the look. if looks is all you want, then jump at it

let me know if we can help in any way

From what I've been told and from pics I've seen, the Airaid has a removable insert if you break out your Dremel.
