So I took my car to the shop because my a/c compressor is making a very loud whining noise and apparently after some googling it seems to be a very common issue. My car is a 2015 so my warranty is gone.

Who knows if my evaporator is going as well. But, has anyone had any luck getting help from Ford on this issue? Its obviously a problem with these cars that shouldn't happen. My car only has 30,000 miles.

If it were me, I'd either replace the compressor now. Or not use the defrost or A/C and take it in. I doubt that a dealer would warranty the compressor. If you continue to use it and the compressor takes a dump, you'll have bigger problems to deal with.

I agree. It is already in with ford at the moment. Just waiting until tomorrow to see what they say.

I haven't used the a/c since I started hearing the noise.

I am in the same boat. Anyone know if there is a good A/C shop in the SWFL (Cape Coral, Fort Myers)
