JN66 might keep fingers crossed on engine being ok. There is a whole lot of us burning oil even if just daily driving and not tracking it. And Ford puts out a letter that you could under certain circumstances burn a quart every 500 miles geesh! My old 2005 Buick with 187,000 miles leaks a little from back main seal if driven short distances where the old seal doesn't swell and seal but doesn't burn a drop.

First time Mustang owner. Not sure if mine is beginning to experience issues.

Yesterday I left the car out in 95F degree weather for a few hours. When I got in to drive off I turned on the Max AC button and rolled up the windows. The air was cooler than the outside air but definitely not cold; it wasn't blowing humid stale air. I drove for another ~5 minutes before it got cold. And even then, it still didn't feel that cold. I'm coming from a Lexus which had a very cold AC system so I'm not sure if that is the lowest temperature it'll go.

Does it take awhile for cold air to begin blowing?

My AC stopped working as well. There was a leak in one of the refrigerant lines. Dealer replaced the line under warranty.

My leaky AC manifold line (high pressure side) is being replaced today under warranty. It lasted almost a year before it slowly lost all the refrigerant.

I still can't figure out how to turn my A/C on. lol.
Actually mine's really easy...it's the '2-65' model...roll down two windows and drive 65.

My AC went out without any signs of warning last Thursday. I was out of town all weekend but it didn't magically fix itself so dropped it off at the dealership last night. Awaiting word on exact issue but will keep you guys posted.

This scares me a bit. This is the first domestic car I've owned. I was hoping it wouldn't have any chronic part failures.

I just came back from the dealer, 2 hoses need to be replaced they had to order them so I need to take it back next week. By the way my visor electronics are not functioning (garage opener) can it be a fuse? :frusty:

Well, my car is back and AC is working, but all they did was recharge it. I can't imagine a car losing refrigerant in 1 year/7K miles without a leak.

I'm assuming it will eventually fail again and they can actually fix it then...

My air conditioning is gone for the third time now. First time compressor, second time bad line ..now who knows. The first times it randomly blew warm moist air. The problem now only occurs when the car is fully warmed up the air conditioning starts to blow hot air only. When the car is cold the air works fine. Im getting the feeling it will never work properly.Never had a car that did any of this!!
