Just received my oil filters and they have black staining on them. I've never seen this before. Are the filters defective or do the newly produced filters look like this?

Is anyone hearing people are buying the GT500 at MSRP now? Dealers in Northern California are asking about 10-15K ADM. They'll take 5K every day. 3K would be a bit harder. 1-2K would be very difficult. At MSRP is a real challenge at the moment.

Thread locker on the oil filter or oil filter housing? I've never noticed it coming with any. Unless I'm missing something..

I've noticed this too. Depending which way I insert the dipstick, crosshatch facing towards/away from the engine, the oil level will be slightly more or slightly less.

All these solid Race Red cars is making me want to remove my white stripes! I think Race Red looks best in indirect sunlight; or low light conditions. In direct bright sunlight, the red begins to look orange. Especially in pictures (see my avatar pic to the left).

You can also drive forwards/backwards 10 or so times in your driveway. Apply the brake lightly and then shift to 1st or reverse and repeat. I applied CarPro HydrO2 to my paint/wheels and it makes cleaning them easier. Even if I go drive after a wash I have minor rust dust on the wheels.
