I just installed the factory pony projectors in my base mirrors. I ordered the projectors for the '14 mustang because they are $36 vs the almost $200 for the '15 projectors. I wired them like the stock ones are so that they come on when the door is opened or if the car is unlocked by the remote.

Can this be done on the V6?? I'm curious :ford:

The v6 mirror is the same as the base GT.

Has anyone tried upgrading to the aftermarket lights (like the tri-bar pony) on existing factory puddle lights?

Where did you buy the parts for that install Stam616 ? Can I buy the entire light assembly with the pony installed?

Bullit who did you go through for the lights? how hard was install?

Is wiring present? Or did you have to run something to the fuse box? I was also wondering about the door sills. I'd like to do both if wiring is present.

There was no wiring present in the mirror. I bought the lights from tasca ford. They were $19 for one side and $17 for the other. They were lights for a 2014 mustang so there was some trimming that had to be done to the internal bracing in the mirror. If you buy lights for a 2015 then you should not have to trim the bracing but they are almost $200 for the lights. There was no wiring to the door sills on my car either.

I tied into the wiring for the dome light.

The 15-17 are very different and if you have bliss that adds more to the difference!
