I put the magnaflow street mufflers on my ecoboost mustang and also eliminated the resonator it sounds good but it vibrates when pressing the accelerator so wondering if this is normal?

Thanks

I would unplug the rear microphone above the back seat above the head liner, see how it goes after that, but you may still need resonators. You are dealing with a 4cly and they can be buzzy.

MicroPhone?

What is that microphone for and how to remove that? When you say resonator do you mean a after market one?

The microphone is used for the Active Noise Cancellation our cars have. Its to play the sound of the car through the speakers to make the car sound better from the inside, which explains why u only hear the sound when u accellerate. When I installed my subs, it was picking up the bass and everytime I accellerated, I heard super ear destroying bass. You just pull down the headliner from the backseat and detach it. Problem was solved.

The magnaflow exhaust is a deeper tone, so removing the resonator might have added some unwanted drone. If you still hear/feel the drone, u might want to put the resonator back on.

Sit in the back seat, just pull down on the very middle of the head liner by the third brake light you will see a small black box, you can see to the left and the right where the head liner touches the roof, a magnet on both sides, just keep gently pulling down both sides you will have full access to the mic, unplug it its easy should be a tab on the connector to push, then pull the plug out.

Does not affect Sync, but does remove rear cabin noise that is amplified by the exhaust.

Also, get some resonators =) you will make it more buzzy/raspy even with MF mufflers.

It will help alot though.

I went thru the exact same thing with this same exhaust. First it was really bad with a catted downpipe. Put the stock one back on and was still pretty bad, I guess what you are experiencing. I then plugged up one muffler. That worked the best and ran just as good. I then finally went and sold it. Ended up with a GT exhaust with a resonator delete. It is about 50% better. I also tried the microphone in the rear disconnected with no help at all. It didn't want to cut up the Magnaflow and put a resonator in it but that might be the best option.

So you still have the same issue of loudness and vibration when accelerating with the GT exhaust? I am going to add a resonator over the weekend or next week and will update how it goes

It is maybe about 50% of what you might be experiencing. It is in the 2000-3000 range. And also when the motor is holding the car back on Decel. I bet most would say it sounds great or even too quiet. I guess I'm getting older but really like a smooth sound even if it means pretty quiet. I have partially blocked the one outlet and is now just about right for me. I do plan at some point to try a single inlet dual out muffler at the "y" area sometime. But for now its pretty good. I'm interested to see how it works out for you.

Does it vibrate all the time when accelerating ? Or at certain rpm ?
If its all the time then the exhaust may be touching the body or a suspension somewhere.
When I put my exhaust on the drivers side pipe where it goes past the rear suspension was extremely close and I tweaked it a little and gain about a 1/4 inch so check there. If its touching anywhere you will feel it

My MBRP race was causing a ton of vibrations as well, I ended up putting the stocker back on as I just couldn't stand it any more. My car now has more interior rattles than my 1995 mercury beater and it just passed 5k miles. I might get the stock resonator removed for a magnaflow muffler to add a little sound but I'm liking the quietness at this point.

I have zero problems with mine, I took my time with installation and made sure everything was lined up perfecly which is a PITA since the left mufflers are very hard to align properly for some reason. Did you check your clamps?
