Wondering if anyone has installed the L & M camshafts and dynoed the car. I read online of a GT350 owner who installed Frankenstein Engineering ported heads, L & M camshafts and lost power. He then sold the car. There is room still left in the ports for more CFM, as well as more airflow with a ported intake manifold. Thought is it becomes an octane thirsty situation above 93 octane to fuel the added air flow with long tube headers and a tune. L & M Mike advises more power to be made with the camshafts and ported heads. Hoping someone chimes in and has an update.

I found the thread by 11secls1. And he actually used ported heads with stock cams and intake as was 91 octane and 514rwhp. I can call Todd and see what he says.

How much do you think is maximum compression on 93 octane? 12:1, 12.5:1, 13:1, 13.5:1.

6% more hp for every point of compression.

Yes 3-4% it seems. So do you think 13:1, 13.5:1 or 14:1 on 93 octane is doable?

If you are going to build a max effort engine, and not use methanol injection or E85. How much compression on pump gas 93 can one safely run?
