Has anyone actually done before/after dyno numbers on aftermarket cams on an NA car?

As the title says... I know a couple have done or planned to do camshafts, curious if they were worth their weight in aluminum ;)

Also interested. Eyeballing ported CJ, cams, headers, e85,and supporting mods this summer. Thanks @Slamdcoop0428 we know that everything above minus the port and cams=540whp SAE...

Wouldn't surprise me if 565+whp is attainable with cams/port. Absolutely crazy in my book for an OEM 8300 rpm NA motor with bolt ons. Wonderful time we live in.

I'll very likely wait until the warranty expires on my 20, so I'm a ways off but this is all very interesting to me. A guy in a 14GT w/ FBO, CJ Intake and E85 ran right with my R the other day - we didn't have a lot of room but he was starting to pull on me - so at least tune, intake and E85 could be in my future ;)

i just called L&M today and waiting for their cam guy to call me back. More than likely I’ll have a set soon.

With the VCT, and lift pretty much max'd out, I can imagine that the aftermarket cams might provide a little bump overall or a moderate bump (at the cost of lower end) and simply shift the power peak even further up.

The GT350 heads already flow 320 on the intake side and like I said, with VCT and it already nearly touching the pistons, I can't imagine aftermarket cams (truly isolated, not thrown in the snake oil like a lot of mods where it's mix'd in with a tune upgrade) probably isn't going to do much all by itself.

I'm betting that with combined other mods (like porting the heads further, +1 on the valve sizes, 2" primaries on the long tubes, adding a blower, etc) it'll probably result in some appreciable gains, but 4 sticks (and the installation) are gonna be pricey and probably not move the needle all that much by themselves.

I'm fine with cutting valve reliefs.... :)

Did it on my SS 1LE, worth the gains haha

Did comp cams stage 1. Previous to the cam job, was right around 630rwhp with a vortech blower and fbo. After, made 680rwhp. 50rwhp increase on 8lbs of boost. Not too shabby.

Any ideas on how to smoothen out the torque curve? Shop indicated that at some point to get a torque converter. Any other suggestions?
