So each dash cam is rated @ 3amp. I will be installing 4 of them. I will be connecting all dash cams to one add a circuit fuse tap harness. Do I use a 12amp fuse or a 3amp?

Here is a picture. 4 red lines are 4 dash cam positive wires that connect to one add a circuit fuse.

You need 12 amps at a minimum. But that leaves you no room. I’d find a higher amp circuit, perhaps one at 15 amps rated.

Niz55, I think you might want to recheck the power requirements. 3 amps seems extremely high for a dash cam. I don't think I've seen a dash cam require over 1A @ 12V. Are you sure you're not reading watts?

Also, if it really is Qty 4, 3Amp loads, you normally want a 50% overage for safety. I'd say you'd need a 20amp circuit to handle that much. You might want to consider running a separate line from the distribution block for that much current draw.

Yes you are right. Output is 5v 1amp.

Here is the tricky part. I have to install a 12v to 5v convertor that the camera manufacture sells.

The convertor output is 5v @ 1.5amp. do I need to install 4 of these convertors or I can connect all 4 cameras into one convertor?

So basically from the fuse box first connects the add of circuit fuse holder and than the convertor.

add and total up the wattage of the cameras, if its more than the converter can do or supply.....then you need a converter that will allow more current. I would not do a converter for each camera. Try digikey for real electronics supplies., not that ebay or amazon junk. If each camera needs .25 watts, then thats 1 watt total with .5 amps to spare.
