if you can't drive your car with advantrac off.. you shouldn't be driving it. god forbid you drove something without nannies..
just saying!!!
On a track yes, I agree, but in normal commuting there is no need to disable it. It can only help in a sticky situation.

This would be fine, but doesnt the stability control come into play if you get even slightly off kilter? If you are shredding tires and the back end wiggles even a tad to one side, does the stability control reduce spin on the side that is coming off center? Im only talking here about a straight line burnout. Doing a fishtail burnout in a turn is just asking for trouble.
when i first got my car and it rained i took it to a lot and threw it around with all nannies on, all nannies off and then nannies on/off individually. seems that advancetrac doesnt come into play until you are pretty sideways. i didnt feel it kick in until i was halfway thru a doughnut. traction control seems to only mess with wheel spin. for example i was driving in the snow trying to figure out what worked best and i could spin the wheels all day long with traction control off even tho i was starting to drift sideways and advancetrac was still on but didnt shut me down

I have been autocrossing for 10+ years and over two in the s550 and I like to think I am decent at car control. I turn it off at the autocross because it gets in the way. I never disable it on public roads and knowing what you can do with it on I would find it irresponsible to do so. I can think of at least two situations in the past two and a half years with the mustang where it saved my ass.

If it's getting in your way on public roads that means you are driving way to fast and hard which calls into question your judgement as an adult.
