Interestingly enough, I also noticed the big difference driving my friend's '16. But same as you it was near new vs my 8k miles...
i do know the pressure plate springs wear in over time and the hydraulic throw out bearing compensates for wear.

I see posts on the forum of clutch failures from new or with little to no miles and it is defective or bad driver. A few of my other custom cars have RXT clutches and they also have little to no pedal feel but they hold the 600-800hp without a hitch. I still prefer the manual clutch feel of my vintage shelbys.

I hate this clutch. The engagement is almost at the very top. It's terrible. It's kind of hard to shift smoothly. I'm also coming from a 13 V6.

Side note. Any find it a huge pain to start your car? I have to basically out all my weight down on the clutch so it will start.

This part sounds right:

This part does not:

May be that your clutch engagement switch is tweaked a bit, so it's having trouble telling when you actually press it to the floor normally, without putting your weight against it.

Also, lol at the screen name. The V6 has plenty of power to be loads of fun, and get you into trouble!

My friends '15 is very high, but my '15 is more in the middle. So expect some variation. And this variation suggests you can change it somehow otherwise all the cars would be the same.

my engagement point is pretty close to the top. I dont even push in the clutch a 1/3 of the way of the full travel to shift. Its excellent

I'm in a 16 with the clutch spring removed. Maybe it's in my head but I feel like my clutch point has shifted to the top. Driving today and yesterday I paid a lot more attention to it. When I first got the car I want to say it was more in the middle.

I just picked up a 15 GT with 10k miles on it. It engages near the top as well. In traffic pulling out with the hill assist on a hill makes it very apparent. I've been almost worried the clutch was smoked until I came across this thread.
I'm contemplating putting in a new clutch because I despise the high engagement of the stock one. My car is 100% stock.

You're clutch spring still in? I'm not sure if it's been like that and I'm just noticing it in past couple of days or not. I feel like it used to be more towards the middle. I've never dropped the clutch, did a burnout, or raced it. Clutch grabs good just way higher than I would like.

Has anyone tried installing a new clutch line to see if that helps any?

Stiffer clutch line is gonna bring the engagement point even higher if the current one is not as stiff. Higher engagement point meaning pressure is going up in the system too soon. Would be nice if they could have like chamber with an adjustable diaphragm so you can tweak the engagement point.
The other thing you can do is I guess you could mess with the rod that push on the slave cylinder.

IMO the stock hydraulic throw out bearing is over compensating for wear.
