Have alot of down time due to covid and have a bunch of audio equipment laying around to piece together a decent set up. My goal is to have full use of trunk space and have a clean OEM look.

Keeping the factory radio here is what i have.

Things im using
- SSL amp
- AudioControl LC2i (dont need to find a remote signal from factory radio for amp and can set up a second amp for mids)
- 2 way power block
- The usual amp power, ground and RCA's

First i started with thinking of where to install the amp. i decided to put it in the spare tire area. Since there is no use for it.
I ended up buying a 24"x 24" plywood and rounded off one side of it for a better fit. Found the and im using the factory hold down for the flat tire kit. Purchased my car used and it was missing.

Looking good! You tapping a rear speaker for a signal? What are the specs on that amp? Never heard of SSL before, but I've been out of the car audio game for a while and don't know many of the newer brands.

Just a thought: If you drill a 3/4"-1" recessed hole for the bolt to anchor the rack to the spare tire hold down, that would give you some more placement flexibility for components now/later. That big plastic knob takes up a lot of room. Something like this, from the amp rack I'm building. Home depot sells all lengths of 6mm bolts. I'm using a 20mm but 16-20mm should work.

I tucked all my equipment up under the rear deck so I could still utilize my spare tire compartment. I mounted everything to some black lexan from Tap Plastics.
