So for the past while when I start my car in quiet mode the valves will open and close continuously, it'll do this until I go out get in car and change the mode myself. Also if on highway and I'm in say normal mode, if I get into the throttle it'll open the valve up to track mode (I'm assuming) as the car will get drastically louder and I'll have to put it into sport mode to stop this. Pretty much I can't use quiet or normal mode and I'm being headers installed Thursday, so I'm trying to figure out if this is common issue and if it can be fixed so I can use the valves as intended again. I currently run stock exhaust with xpipe and punched secondary cats, I'm installing 1 5/8 LTH catless headers to my stock active exhaust. I'm planning on getting cats installed after headers are on abs hopefully figure out the valves without having to buy new one's as they're over $300cad/each.

I think i know what your problem is. The passenger side wireing to the active exhaust was poorly desinged. The wires rub against the body frame cause them to short out disabling the active exhaust on both sides. Simple fix. Repair the wiring and then insulate it with and insulator that can withstand the rubbing….also move the wire farther way from the point they were rubbing.

I had looked at the wiring on my '22 GT after reading about the rubbing issue. Mine has almost 1/2" +/- from the spot in question. What year and how many miles on your car?

At the time that it got fixed the 2022 Mach 1 had 4000 miles on it. It currently has 15,000 and there have not been any problems

Check the 2- 1/4" Connections where the resonator meets up with the manifolds. a lot of cars had the exhaust put on, with too much slack or space in those clamps, which forces the aft section to be pushed too far back, causing the wires to rub on the body of the car.

Loosen the clamps and then force the entire exhaust from the back towards the motor as far as it will go, and it will give you plenty of room for the wires to clear.
