A few months ago, I had to sent my 16 Ecoboost to dealer because of high cylinder head temperature and some light smoke from the overheat. They checked everything and said everything was fine. The car was fine afterwards.

Then a month ago, the AC started blowing warm air and the dealer told me I have to replace the evaporator (gr3z19850am) and accumulator (fr3z19c836a). They told me the parts would require a month to order so I decided to take my car back and drive it without AC for time being. Interestingly when they returned the car, the AC was blowing cold air and seemed to function normally. But 2 days ago the car AC started to blow warm air again, and I was driving on a highway and when it hit the traffic, I saw the cylinder head temperature climbed up abnormally as well. Do you guys think these 2 issues (AC failure and high cylinder head temp) are related? Or they should be treated separately? Thanks!

well, the fan kicks on when AC is on, so that typically drops the head temps a bit. but my car, always sits @ 175-185 while moving at any reasonable speed. it can climb up at idle if ac is off, but when ac is on, the fan kicks on and should keep it somewhat cool, unless you are in middle of summer

I'd be extremely concerned about the head overheating, extremely. That is absolutely the first thing to sort out. It is so easy for aluminum to warp and blow out a head gasket. At that point the engine is done.
To answer your ac question, yes an overheating engine can cause the ac to blow warmer than normal and in extreme cases blow hot.
But seriously, don't be driving if it's overheating! Ask me how I know...
