It's one of the many incorrect things you wrote/posted.

Don't kid yourself.....it's all been quoted.
bullshit. I never said "replacing a diff with a trans-axel means NVH will go DOWN".

keep pretending like adding mass isn't something car companies have been doing to reduce NVH transfer for years, though.

Transaxles are relatively expensive and trans/diff is relatively cheap. They'll stick with cheap. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that the Mustang will see a version of that front suspension, though.

Nah, I think it’s over, the next gen will be fully electric, totally different setup for suspension, battery, frame etc.

this is it.
This is the right answer

S550 ran from 2015-2023 8 years
S650 starts in 2024, 8 years from that is 2032.

The EV deadline is 2035, are they gonna stretch S650 2 extra years or release a new model for 2 years? They're just gonna stretch the S650 until 2035. We can hem and haw all day long but unless that 2035 deadline gets changed S650 is the end of gasoline only-stangs.

This is why I think the only hope of seeing anything like this is in a GT500 or halo car type deal.

In your mind, certainly. That's clearly how it works......in your mind.

In the real world, no, car companies do NOT add mass to reduce NVH transfer. They're fighting bloat and MPG/emissions issues as it is, and weight has everything to do with thatfight.

That's also some nice strawman arguing. But it's duly noted.

What's hysterical, is that in going back to quote where you did exactly that, you also demonstrate that you don't understand what a trans-axel is;

now imagine a transaxle, bolted to a diff, doing that.
This clearly demonstrates you don't have a fucking clue what a trans-axel is.

Are you seriously begging to get a ban? Just stop your BS already. You want to argue with OP, fine, send him a PM. We would like to get on with the topic.

Hey Lee, can you please stop the back and forth with @KingKona? You’re wasting your time, and ours, arguing with him. It’s pointless and is ruining your thread.
This forum improved a lot after adding him to the ignore list.

What deadline?
All of Europe and California have a ban effective 2035, 8 other states have similar measures.

which is 2034 in model years.. I think they pull the plug on the mustang way quicker… not the mustang Mach E though.

ford isn’t putting any money in legacy ICE plants, all funds are going to blue oval city Tennessee for EV

Several states have enacted a law banning the sale of new ICE vehicles by 2035. Similar to how we all drive California emissions compliant vehicles, even if some states do not push an EV only law, innovation and sale of new designs of ICE vehicles will die everywhere.

If ford has to design an Electric sports coupe to replace the S650 by 2035 for a chunk of states (its like 9 states and growing or something but I'd need to double check) they are not going to also design a gasoline version for other states. They'll sell their old designs until they are forced not to.

There's no federal mandate, but there really wont have to be.

What deadline?
What states are requiring electric cars by 2035?

All of the planned bans are in coastal states: In addition to California and Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Washington have made the commitment to stop allowing sales of new gas-powered vehicles after 2035

To your point (I think) there s only a deadline in a few states and hopefully that can change back too before then with some common sense leadership.

did you guys even read my post or do you just not get why a transaxle in the rear would simultaneously absorb all the NVH and shock currently being transferred to just a IRS pumpkin (which tears WEAK factory bushings under stock power) which induces an ungodly amount of wheel hop whilst also moving a ton of weight to the rear of the car?

think of all the big goofy rubber vibration absorbing weights on modern cars.
now imagine a transaxle, bolted to a diff, doing that. This means the bigger heavier mass can't be shocked as easily as the smaller pumpkin which means A. the smaller vibrations just get absorbed and B since it needs bigger bushings for the larger unit and the whole unit must be moved before the bushings take more load.... you're using physics to decrease NVH instead of just pretending like the shit job ford did on these bushings is fine.

there's a reason serious performance luxury cars use transaxles even when the engine is in the front.
I've owned a couple of C6 Vettes, they still have wheelhop even with a transaxle.
