Thanks for the warning, Nfs1000f. However, I can't lose my coolness (lost all of that in my mid-thirties). The age part does bother me though. I'm already as old as dirt... adding 5 more years right away doesn't sound good. I'll keep that in mind. Think it will help if I keep driving my...
Thanks watisthis and 16Kobra. You are right, I think, about the market being a bit "soft" now. I am sure the GT500 has something to do with that, but at its pricing I am not sure it impacts the sale of a car like mine too much. I think the GT500 at $80 to $90K (all in) is in a different...
I have been a "Ford Guy" since my early teenage years growing up in Dearborn. But, I never owned a Mustang so I added that to my "bucket list" when I retired. Finally, at the age of 67 on November 20, 2015 I checked that one off the list. The story of the day I took delivery and a bunch of...
Thank you to everyone for your input. For some reason, I am not getting emails when replies are posted. So, until logging in today I thought no one had replied.
You have given me a lot of good ideas, and I appreciate it very much. Coincidently, there is a '16 GT350 with 1,600 miles on it on...
It is likely that I will be selling our 2016 GT350 this spring. I am hoping to get opinions regarding how I should go about it. Only has 1,650 miles on it, stored in heated garage, perfect in all respects. I just turned 71 and we have decided that we need to start "downsizing" to get ready to...
Limp Mode
Took me a couple of weeks to read this entire thread. Man... All this talk about "limp mode."
DUH! Don't you guys know there's an easy fix? It's called Viagra and Pfizer makes it.
I have been driving the GT350 a bit (only 600 miles so far, though). Went out this morning a to start her up for a short ride and found the battery dead.
Put the charger on the battery, and it sits at 12.4 AMPS... will not take the charge. Did a search and find that others on this forum...
Make sure you are not sitting in neutral or reverse with the clutch in. You have to be in 1st (or maybe other forward gear) with the clutch in for it not to read "drive mode not available." Dealership should have disabled transport mode.
Hoep that helps...
I'm 100% happy with the quality of the build, stripes and all. No flaw detected by me or others who have helped me check her over.
To the guys who are worried sick about how the car might arrive, I've learned this over the years (I'm older than dirt):
"My life is full of terrible...
Well said! I hope someone at Ford is listening. But, I have to say it was worth the wait.
Ordered mine 6/12, built 10/22 and delivered 11/20. Have no clue why it sat outside at FRAP for nearly a month. 90% of the frustration could be eliminated just with better communication...
You would not believe how many people have walked up to me and said the same thing. My normal response: "Well, maybe, except I'm not in the habit of shooting people in the face.":D
Thanks! Mine is a tech pack, too. Maybe we can get the "twins" together at an eastern Ohio Ford or Mustang car show one day... about midway between the Finger Lakes and West Michigan.
Honestly, I wasn't sure I'd be happy with the color choice. Before Ford published the actual color...
Since there is now snow on the ground, I've got time to study the owner's manual and the GT350 supplement. Lots to learn... plenty of bells and whistles with the tech package.
Sorry, I'm not seeing what you apparently are looking at. I have other rear end photos, let me know and I'll check it out and maybe post some photos of the specific area.
Added a photo... not sure what area you are talking about.
I had one of the best days of my life yesterday picking up my GT350 (ordered 6/12, built 10/21) at Harold Zeigler Ford in Lowell, MI. I was very lucky: yesterday was a dry, sunny day here in West Michigan. Today: 5 inches of snow forecast.
First thing: there's been a lot of talk about fit and...
