Might as well get this started since I've been slowly adding parts here and there to my 2018 Base A10 Gt.

Bought the car in March of 2020. Car was completely stock.

Since then I've added, Roush Catback (I ended up hating and would sell later on), H-pipe, TSP Longtubes no cats, JLT CAI, Lund Ngauge and E85.

I bought a JMS drag pack with some MT radials and headed off to the track. Car ended up running consistent 7.50s but unfortunately after my 4th pass the transmission made a loud clunk after its burnout and I lost everything from 3rd gear up. Currently purchased a A10 from a member on here with the McLeod clutches already installed. Pulled the old transmission pan last night and found lots of metal shavings. Anyway hope to get the car back up and moving before long. Have plenty of more things I would like to do to the car yet.

Transmission is out, new transmission will be here shortly. I will say that even with longtubes getting all the bellhousing bolts and removing the 10r80 was not near as difficult as I thought. Hardest part about this is how heavy this transmission is. A transmission jack is a must! I did this on my back using jack stands.

New transmission and converter has arrived, got it bolted on the engine last night and just have fluids and a few odds and ends to finish.

Check the bushing in the throat of the converter and see if it’s trashed. My car chucked the bushing while using the trans brake.

The converter looks perfectly fine. I wish I knew more about automatic transmission and just rebuild the thing myself so I can have a spare transmission.
