$800 for front brakes?

just got a quote of $800 for Front Rotors and Pads replacement from my dealer. I have Performance Pack Brembos.
My '16 Mustang is about to hit 60k miles.. Is this about normal cost?

Yep, sounds about right. OEM pads are expensive. If you have the tools to do it yourself, it’s an easy job and you can use different pads if you don’t like the stock ones.

You can get away with much cheaper rotors if you want. Centric has some for $25 each and they work just fine.

All you need to do the brakes yourself is a 13mm and a 15mm socket, a brush, something to compress the pistons, and some blue locktite. Never give your money to the stealerships.

You can save about $400 and have knowledge that it's done right when you're done versus gambling getting random paint scratches and grease on your seat at the dealer.

^ This. You care about your car so you'll do it right. Dealer mechanics are just doing the job as fast as they can to make their commission.

Power stop Z23 pads for way less dust and squealing than OEM PP pads. Getting the pistons pushed in evenly is a little challenging, but do able. Disc brake jobs are pretty easy over all and can be done in less than an hour per side in the drive way with minimal tools.
