Got in the car today in my garage, and it would not go into Reverse. Used the shift collar as normal, moved car forward and back, but could not get it to go into Reverse. Anybody else ran into this? Thanks in advance.

You probably already tried it, but let clutch out very slowly while pushing shifter towards reverse and see if it will go into gear. Don't need to let it out all the way, but just slowly right towards friction point if it were in gear.

Have not. Try going into second gear first and then reverse. See if that helps.

It has the stock shifter. All seems normal, except that when I pull up on the shift collar it does not open the 'gate' to the left side of the pattern allowing it to get to reverse gear. This is troubling.....

Loosen the knob by a turn, it may be too tight and right on the edge of allowing the reverse lock out to move up enough.

Thanks dgc333. Tried this and it worked. Had to loosen the shift knob and it allowed the collar to open the shift gate. But then I had to tighten the shift knob. Can I remove the knob and put a 'spacer' so I don't have to unloosen knob all the time?

Just leave it backed off a turn its ok. If it's loose use Blue Loctite and let it dry overnight. That's how A/M knobs are installed and they specifically warn you to check the reverse lockout as you tighten it.

Bringing an old thread to life but this is what happened to me this morn. Just need to re-adjust the GT350 knob, apply blue loctite and allow it to dry.
