Damn that's basically what the new z06 will be putting down on the 5.5 flat plane. On the 5.0 all motor is damn impressive.

After living and breathing small block Chevy's most of my life (Drag raced them for years), I have concluded the 5.0 Gen3 Coyote is the best small block V-8 of all time.

Phenomenal flowing heads straight from the factory no one could have even dreamt of decades ago.

I am convinced this is the golden age of HP from an ICE.

VooDoo 5.2 heads on the 5.0 and we've damn near got a V8 Hayabusa under the hood.

You and me both. This is on par with whipple/vmp horsepower with there base tunes without the stress on the motor. Pricewise cheaper IF you do the work yourself.

GregO,

Hayabusa indeed, I've owned a slew of rice rockets through the years.

Ford literally built a crotch rocket motor V-8 for 4 wheels.

exactly, plus the advantage of lighter weight with out the charger and any sorta cooling mods that go along with it which makes it really more attractive to me, i might honestly read more into it and make it happen here in the future haha

It’s super impressive. On par? Not sure about that, though…it’s on an engine stand (so not rwhp), no air filter or other pre-throttle intake, and isn’t running any accessories or even (?) the water pump. It’s more like the pre-72 “gross” ratings.

I was wondering what they did to add ~125hp to a (already v impressive) E85 gen3 with headers which I usually see around 500rw. So it’s not quite that much but still killer for an NA motor.
