I just installed a wet kit, and im curious if I could get away without a tune? I am running the 93prx tune right now, really didn't want to spend another 400 right not to take a few degrees of timing out. So asking. Would a 50 shot be ok w a 93prx tune? Thanks.

I get that. But of course they are gonna say I need a tune. Thats more money in their pocket. If I have to get a tune I will, juat seeing if anyone out there has had a similar experience

Well, here's the thing:

How many people here, have your same car, have the same tune, and are running a 50 shot. Probably not many.

When you run nitrous you should pull some timing out. You shouldn't need more than a couple degrees with that small of an amount. Some people will run a 50 shot without pulling any. But you have a 93 'race tune' so your timing is already balls to the wall.

The right thing to do would be to call your tuner and let them know what you're doing, and they'll send you a tune with the amount of timing that other customers are having success with who are doing the same thing.

If you don't want to do that, add some octane booster or race gas (maybe run the fuel side of the wet shot with a secondary supply tank of race fuel or e85 or...) and send it. Log everything so you can see if there's any knock, how the air/fuel looks, and adjust accordingly.

A tune revision is highly recommended. If you pay for the revision, you might as well go for 150 shot with E85 and 93, to maximize your dollars spent on the revision.

In addition, if you haven’t already, install NGK 6510 plugs gapped at .028.

I picked up 170 hp to the wheels by doing this on a 150 shot.

Not on my s550 but I have run nitrous on a superchargered rsx in the past if your spraying the 50 shot on a button at the top of your pull for 2k rpm can you technically do it for a time sure, did I blow up my motor a month after installing it because I was 20 years old and drove like an asshole sure did! I'd recommend a tune, bottle warmer, and all the other goodies, most people that have issues with nitrous are because they want "cheap power" and dont get everything dialed in like you should when using nitrous, sorry for the long winded answer just dont want you to hurt anything u dont need to best of luck
