Maybe it was a product of me taking the car around the Daytona speedway doing 2:00 laps?

Lol

Tom, were you joking about the 50 miles to empty low fuel warning or being serious? I ask because anytime mine get to 50 miles to empty I get the same warning and thought it was normal.

The above photo in post #1 is legit. 3/4 of a tank with a warning that I was about to flame out, lol.
I had a little more than 3/4 of a tank when the warning popped up. The computer still thought I was at the Daytona speedway. That was essentially the last time I drove my car back in early December. When I blew my CV, the passenger side half shaft was replaced and the drivers side had to be replaced also, but it was on an extended backorder. The drivers side half shaft took almost 2 months to get from back order and I was told it was about to let go as well. I didn't want the car in the shop that long so I took it home and didn't drive it until today when my new driver's side half shaft was installed. On my way home from the dealership, the warning popped up.

I am currently uploading video of the track. When it is complete, I will present it here.

I didn't even notice the fuel gauge at 3/4. Now I understand what you meant. Anxious to check out the videos.

Yes, they drink a lot when tracked. I’m no expert but drove her hard enough on a 1.4 mile track to log 5 mpg. I cannot imagine your mpg at Daytona.

The you- tuber “speed phenom” got rid of his track pack gt-500 over fuel consumption on the track . He needed 7 fill ups to run a 3 hour session at the track,( road course). He now has a mclaren 600-lt, better gas mileage and faster track times..

I like to disassemble things.

Who da thunk it? And all this time I thought he got rid of his car due to him being uneducated about tire life. I guess you learn something new every day.
