A hole in the seat......

Its either a 4pt asm, a 5/6 pt with a hole CUT in the seat, or a racing seat with the hole constructed for the sub belt.

If i was using stock oem recaros, I'd just get a schroth 4pt asm.

I put in a Schroth quick fit pro and recently used it at my first track day in this car. Very happy with it.

caveat: You will have to purchase an 15-17 MY receiver for the back seat belt as Schroth doesn’t have one for newer models yet. There were also some slight design changes in the mounting bracket for the floor belt connection. This meant notching the plastic panel.

Its relatively easy to do, very removable for street use or backseat use, and is superior to the factory belt for holding you in place on track and letting you use a HANS device.

Very happy with it. Ideal solution if you want to maintain your backseat.

The only problem with a harness and no cage is you have no rollover protection and you stand to instantly break your neck in the event that your roof was compromised.

Yes, structures have come a long way, but the rule of thumb is don't put a harness in a car without some kind of cage.

That’s where I think the Quickfit Pro is a good compromise.

Since it utilizes factory mounting points, uses the factory pre-tensioners, and has ASM technology it’s going to serve you well.

Yes a cage/bar would be best, along with a dedicated race seat, etc... But if you know the risks this seems a good compromise.

Schroth has done extensive testing and you can pick up the phone and talk to them about any specific concerns. In the video below they specifically address rollovers at about the 5:30 mark.

Check out this video from HMS Motorsport:

When it comes to open tracking a car it’s all compromise with how far you go.
