Factory has pins.

That's a fact, as I'm rolling debadged right now with exposed holes. Cause they're tiny and fuck it.

We are working on Solid billet badges with factory locator pins and they will be available in satin and gloss black. The absolute highest quality machined parts with a Diamond cut finishes. They will be available in the next week or two.

I purchased the UPR satin black badges and the badges themselves look oem but they are not. Fitment is spot on. I just wished they used better backing tape. The tape used is thicker than oem (looks to be 1.5x to 2x thicker than oem). Since you can see the side profile of the tape, it looks to be more porous compared to a 3M brand tape.

The tape is designed this way to take into consideration for a less clean surface or someone not getting all the adhesive off when they change over to the new painted emblems. We have sold emblems for so many years and had to deal with calls from customers that would blame the product for not sticking or fitting. So this adhesive allowed us to work on surfaces that were not cleaned or prepped as well as they needed to be for a much finer adhesive.

We use this for many of our heavier billet emblems that require a much stronger bond that will last and that is how this particular adhesive has come about.

I'm just saying the tape is bulky and raises the emblems off the fender. They'll stay on until I find better ones though I have not known or come across anyone not clean or prep the surface after removing an emblem.

I will see if our supplier can get us some thinner adhesive. Also we see about 10% of the products we sell with double stick tape come back with dust and trash stuck to them and the customers simply say.

I didn't know it had to be cleaned before installation ???? :headbonk:

I'm glad you shared your thoughts as I can look for a thinner adhesive. Like an 0.28 thickness.

just want to share my newly installed glossy black rear UPR emblem.

I do have a GT but I always want a matching emblem to the front horse, so I optioned to go with the horse instead. Took me about 20 mins to put it on, the pins align perfect without any problems. Finish is good too, no visible imperfections. Matches my front emblem perfectly, although I didn't get my front emblem from UPR (wasn't available at the time so I bought a 11-14 emblem instead off ebay). It looks so much better compare to the plastidip GT I did before.

Thinner adhesive would be great as your emblem quality is good.
As for the other customers, they shouldn't be messing with their cars if they can't even do emblem swaps.

What ever happened to these billet emblems? Are they going to be released soon?

Okay. I'll be ordering some once they do get finished. I prefer the old style of not having the colored dot but I guess I can fix that myself if these new ones have a red dot.

Just having the adhesive and the red and black fill for the Dot and the T done right now. So I'm estimating a few more weeks till everything comes together.
What kind of finishes will be available?

I think black or gunmetal annodize would look great.

Do your 5.0 emblems for the 11-14 cars have alignment pins?

Or would the 15 5.0 emblems work on the 11-14 cars?

Thanks
