If I could have afforded it alongside the PP I would have gotten it, but alas I had to choose one or the other. Part of me wonders if I made the right choice though.

Have to ask yourself if any of those things are worth it.

For me I'll be sticking with 400A. Extra weight of the sub, don't need HD radio or the extra speakers/bass. Memory seats dont need.

BLIS is only thing in pack I like. But that should be in the sensor/reverse package.

Is that your daily driver or what, Darren? Haha!

I'm gonna skip on the 401A. Waste of money to be honest. No one else drives my car, no need for memory seats. BLIS? I've been fine for years without it. Sub? Dead weight. HD Radio? Apple Music. Haha.
The new Apple music has got to be the biggest pile of shit I've ever encountered.

Im not into massive after market radios. For someone who likes crisp music, with no cracking/popping and a bit of base, I think the 401A radio sounds awesome. I haven't compared it to the other one though.

He selection is on point, layout is great, the only downside is the music quality. Have you tried Tidal?

If you feel the features are worth it, get it. You are buying the car, be sure you are happy with what you buy or do not buy option wise.

I skipped it, but that was my personal choice to get the best car for the lowest price. I love my car and some of those with the upgraded stereo think it stinks. I think the base stereo is fine for my needs (don't need thumping bass).

i got 401a because after hearing the 400a it was worth spending the money for the better sound system because I never ever want put aftermarket stereo in. those days in my life are over. if i'm going to spend money on decent speakers, it's speakers for my theater room. So 401a is pretty good for what it is to not have to upgrade to aftermarket...and alot better than 400

I got it on mine. I don't care for the memory seats or BLIS, but i do like listening to music quite a bit. That extra quality in music was worth it for me.

Like everyone mentions, it is just what you want. I don't care for BLIS (mirrors work fine for me), memory seats don't appeal to me since I am the only one who primarily drives my car and don't move the seat and I am not a audiophile and can't tell the difference in the shaker system vs normal system, nor do I use bass, I would rather hear my car.

If the features sound like something you would use and like, get it. Better to get what you want and not be wishing you had gotten the option later.

I'm very happy with my 401A package. The Shaker Pro system does sound considerably better than the standard version, and the cross-traffic alert comes in very handy when wedged between two behemoths in a parking lot. The rest is just icing on the cake.

A big yes. The BLIS sees cars when backing out of a driveway with parked cars line the street near the driveway, obstructing the view from the driver's seat. It also is extra reassurance when changing lanes on mobbed freeways with cars coming from everywhere to get ahead. Also with the bass and treble controls adjusted a tad, the Shaker Pro sounds really good, much better than I expected. And I do use the memory seats.
