4 and 5 pin Relays - Replacement Options?

I have had bad luck with the 4-pin relays in this car.

AC blower would not turn on - traced it to relay in fuse box.

High CHT due to one fan not working - relay in fuse box

Wiper not working - yep, relay in fuse box.

Rear window defroster doesnt work and horn takes a bit of pressing to work, have not checked yet but wouldnt be surprised if it's the 4-pin relay too.

I notice from 8T2T-14B192-AA they are now GU5T-14B192-GA. Are they more reliable now?

I wonder if these relays have an import car equivalent. I dont remember a time I've had to replace a relay on a Euro / Asian make.

Good to hear the new relays are more reliable!

I got a couple of the GU5T's from the dealer and will leave them on then, but there are quite a few more of the old 8T2T's and I want to replace all of them.

I've seen a few Panasonic and Denso relays that look the same, and they are less than half the price of a GU5T.

I searched ISO relays and there is a bit of variance on size and shape aside from the ones that look like Ford's. Is there a specific variant of ISO 4-pin relay I should be looking for?

So for the 4-pin relays Omron does make that size. It's their G8HN series.

Size and connector layout look to be correct but 2 of the blades look to be bigger than Ford's version so it looks like they won't plug in.

This looks to be the case with Panasonic, Denso, and the other lookalikes I've seen so far too.

EDIT: scratch that, looks like Omron's G8HE-series is the one!
