Hi all, My front sway bar bushings need to be replaced. They’re making a lot of squeaking noise over bumps when it’s cold out, and some clunking noise over uneven pavement. Since I have the performance package, the front sway bar bushings are bonded. Is my only option to replace the entire bar?
I had no complaints with the OEM bar, and since I don't track my car, I don't want to introduce NVH with aftermarket ones. Can someone give me a recommendation?

You can cut them out and order GT350 brackets and bushings from dealer for $100 +/-. A GT350 bar or Eibach are also great options.

I didn't know that cutting out was even possible. Will be looking into that or replacing the bar with a gt350 bar.

Might want to cheque if sway bar mounts are tight, and end link joint condition.

How many miles on the car?

I already replaced the end links, lateral and tension control arms, and outer tie rods. The car has about 61,000 miles. I’ll try retorquing the bar mounts this weekend.

Have you disconnected the end links from both sides at the same time? If not, try that, and see if your swaybar pivots freely. My bonded GT350 front bar pivoted freely after a couple years, and with your car's mileage yours might too.

Gonna be fun snaking that factory bar out and the GT350 bar in. I just did it less than a year ago. If you’re going to replace the bushings, I’d look for some with grease zerk fittings, so you can lubricate them with ease. This will also save you from having to remove the bar.

Wait I thought the GT350 sway bar doesn't have bonded bushings?

Don’t I still have to replace the existing brackets with the GT350’s? In that case, it sounds like I have to remove the bar, or else I won’t have enough space to work with. Honestly, if I could just swap out the bushings, I would be happy.

I don’t see any reason why you can’t just swap out the bushings, they appeared to be just glued to the bar and it didn’t seem like it would have been much trouble at all to remove them.

My car is a 2019 Bullitt, so I’m not sure if the sway bar is the same as the GT350. I ended up donating my front end rear sway bars to a member on here, who had an EcoBoost with a built motor. He was very familiar with the sway bars and even brought calipers with him to measure them. I remember him saying both bars were an upgrade for him.

If you remove the fore control arm and tie rod ends from knuckle that takes 2 min R &R of the sway bar is a breeze with no fancy process.

With a metal circular saw and a torch for rubber can get the bonded bushing off fast.

I think I'm gonna go with a GT350 bar to avoid dealing with the bonded brackets and bushings when installing.

Highly recommend the Eibach. I just installed front and rear and it's a huge improvement and as mentioned comes with zerk fitting for easy greasing down the road.
