What is required to run 315/50/17 drag radials? I have Steeda drag springs (.5" drop).

IMO, unless your car is well into the 8's, or your track is subpar most days, you don't need these. Plenty of guys are getting down on the "standard" 305/45 to where the extra height and weight is actually hurting instead of helping.

With 7.9 bs on a 17x10 wheel you can run the .5 drop springs. Any less backspacing and you will need to run a spacer in the spring or stock heigh springs on the rear. Quite a few of us run these for the height on the street. The 305/17 is lighter and quicker on a well prepped track.

Just ordered these. Last time at the strip I couldn't 60' very well because of bad 1-2 wheelspin. I think they will work well with my 3.55 gears to help keep the car out of 7th gear, and improve the 60' I'm about 850RWHP, and traction on the street is kind of sketchy even with the 305/35/19 drag radials. I want to add a converter too, but don't have enough tire now. I ordered the race star black chrome wheels, 17X10.5 with 48mm offset. Most likely will need the spacers.
