My car is lowered on sportlines. Was thinking about getting some 315/35-17 Toyo Proxes since they are relatively cheap and people had good luck with em. Didn't know if 315s would fit fine?

I have 17 dragstar bracket wheels. that are 9.5 inches wide.
I know most applications the 315 need a 10.5 inch rim. any comment on this? widest tire anyone has run on a 9.5 rim?

I'll be that guy. Drag racing on Sportlines. 315 tire to drag race an Ecoboost. Interesting.

A smaller width drag radial will give you enough grip with your likely power output. This will allow you more flexibility for getting to as close to 0* rear camber as possible to make sure that tire is flat off the line. The minimum amount of negative camber you'd probably need to clear a 315 on Sportlines (depending on wheel offset) will probably be around -1.5*, which means, when you squat off the line, you're going into even more negative camber when you're that low in the back due to the geometry of the IRS.

I'd be more interested in some camber arms with those low springs to get you to as close to 0* camber for off the line grip as possible than a 315 tire. Steeda makes a particularly tasty set that is excellent for low cars like yours. And then finding me some a drag tire that's around 285/295 (still an exceptionally wide tire). Bias ply if you have a stick.

Yea I hate camber. Those stupid "Stance" guys are killing car culture for me.

will probably just go 275. i can always switch to a 315 later and test them both. but start smaller (and cheaper$$) and work my way up if needed.
Thanks mate.
