A6 VS A10

Those that have owned the A6 in the S550 vs A10 in the 2018 S550.

What do you think of each transmission? Which do you like best and why?

I own an A6, test driven 3 A10 GTs. The A10 is better. It's a faster shift and it rev matches in Sport/Track/Drag mode, the downshift in the A6 in Sports/Track mode is overly aggressive and annoying with 700-1000rpm jumps making you sound like a kid with his first manual. My A6 is stock btw, I've heard tunes fix the downshift issue.

I've got a great tune on my '15. I really like everything about it but like the power of the '18 plus the magneride. I often shift manually all day just for the fun of it.
I recommend a tune to totally change your A6. That said, I am open to the A10 and it's nice to hear you think it is better.

I got a great deal on a lease for my 16 GT, switching out to an 18 or 19 fairly soon or I'd definitely have one of the Ford Power Packs installed. I know that a tune alone on the A6 for the GT offers crazy gains in performance. :eyebulge: Cannot wait to see what a new Power Pack does for the 18s and onward

Ill put my opinion here..

I had a 2017 A6 stalled and tuned.... the car was amazing to drive and fun but what i didnt like was the rpm drop when racing at WOT. A tune changes the A6 from ok to amazing. Really makes the car fun to drive.

I traded it in on a A10 as i do race alot so the choice was easy. I only have 52 miles on the car so far but it drives sooo much better. The trans tune from the factory is great and the car really moves. I did a 30-90 pull getting on the highway on the way home and im still smiling.

Ford did a great job on the A6 but i feel like the A10 is the superior on what the mustang needs.
