Howdy Folks,

New wheels in a 20x10, 20x11, I had originally planned on a 35 series on Firehawk Indy 500s, but the supply dried up, order got cancelled, now I'm having to do something different.

Looking at maybe the NT555 G2 in a 285/30-20 front and a 305/30-20 rear, those are pretty close to the overall height of the OEM GTPP 19", the 35 series is a taller, more of a difference:

-1.1% smaller diameter on a 285/30 vs. 255/40
+3.3% smaller diameter on a 285/35 vs. 255/40

-1.8% smaller diameter on a 305/30 vs. 275/40
+2.5% smaller diameter on a 305/35 vs. 275/40

Not worried too much about ride quality (not a DD), don't need "extreme" performance, not running any track events (convertible, shows and fun).

Thoughts?

I went with the Continental extreme contact sports 275/35 front and 305/30 rear. I was nervous about the 30 looking terrible or riding poorly but it is all they offer in 19" 305. It doesn't look bad and these tires flat out grip! I cant recommend them enough. I would still get the 305/35 if they offered them but if they don't I will get the same tires again. Another benefit is they are quieter and ride better than the stock P zeros and those were 275/40!

I don't think you will be happy with the Nitto G2s. I have them on my 03 mustang GT in 17" 315/35 and they don't bite worth a Crap.

I have the G2s in 275/30/20 and 295/30/20. I am also running 20x10/11 wheels, but with a somewhat aggressive 35 offset. Next time I will do a 305/30 in the rear, as I think I will possibly have some rubbing in the rear after I lower it. Are you lowered, and if so, how much? Also what is you wheel offset(s)?

I meant to put that in the OP, sorry about that. Yes, lowered on SP080s (GTPP car FWIW), (f) 20x10 ET 35 and (r) 20x11 ET 50

i run a 285/30/20 on a 20x10+35 and
305/30/20 20x11+50 set. all depends what doing with the car and how low. i'm over 2 inches lowered. pretty much one finger gap all 4 corners. more sidewall is better for drag.

Convertible, fun car, shows, no AX/tracking or drag for that matter - just some occasional "spirited driving", nothing on the street more than 7/10ths :D

Depends on how wide you are going.
35 or 30 is a percentage of the width. Obviously a 305 at 30 is about the same thickness as a 265 at 35.
Some people run same profile front to back to give the back tire more meaty look.
Personally I would get as close to stock as possible.

Thanks, decision made ... order placed :D

Technically I already made this decision once, but I had a cancellation, and start RE-reviewing my choices :D

275-305/35 G2s and I love the meatyness. The tires just grip and go. No more worries in the turns.

I'm going 305/35s. I prefer the meatiness.
