What were you trapping? I'm trying to figure out how you pulled that off when I'm at the top of 4th at like 105 with the same height tire.
You can get more out of 4th than 105mph. Don't compare your car to Dalton's, he's reving his out to 8600 rpms!:surprised:

Honestly, a 3.55 would be ideal for your setup, depending on how much power you want to make in the future, even a 3.31 would be beneficial. My procharged setup with 3.73s was fun to drive around the street and even from rolls, but at the track, I was either banging the limiter or shifting into 5th. Obviously you could ask your tuner to pump that limiter up a thousand rpms or so and that would fix that issue though lol.

Correct me if wrong; only real concern with revving higher for most would be the comfort of having the OPG/CS upgrade. However if you’re not banging off the rev limiter isn’t it not really a concern? How high can we safely rev these motors w/o worrying about the OPGs or valve float? Again considering we don’t slam into the limiter.

OPG/CS upgrade is to offer protection when you hit the rev limiter frequently like you mentioned (via 2-step or just revving high without shifting). A taller gear change won't affect that at all except let you stay in gear a bit longer, meaning if anything, you'll be less likely to tap the rev limiter as you'll have more time to react (assuming manual car). If you don't bang of the rev limiter, by itself revving higher for longer doesn't necessarily put your stock opgs at risk by my understanding.

I currently have 3.31 in my procharged car. I have been debating 3.55 or 3.73. I just want a little more bottom end. Feel like it lacks down low with 3.31. I track the car once or twice a year. Looking for more everyday use.

Simple question: Understand MPG is not concern when FI a car. That said, what kind of road mpg are you seeing with FI. I have my GT five months and will make decision over the winter to FI. It's a PP1 6Speed with 3.73 gears. I will never track the car and like driving hard on twisty roads. Will do the occasionally hard pull from a roll. Not big at all on lighting up the tires.

That’s slightly better that my 17.6-17.8 NA. I should go FI. It’ll slowly pay for itself. Mine does have 3.73s though, also clearly driver mod effects this as well. That’s also 85% highway.

Whipple stage 2 and 3.73s nets me about 14-15 around town. It’s downhill in a hurry if you drive like a gorilla, though.

The best mph has been 146.90. The car is pulled to 8795rpm. Stock Engine..

I went 9.80s using 4 gears with my MT-82 and 3.73s.

Moffets, a stock 15-17 MT82 with a 28" tall tire puts you at a possible 149mph at 8800rpm in 4th gear. Now his tach needle is probably almost touching the coolant temp symbol because it's way past the last number on an 8000rpm Mustang tach. Maybe we should chip in and buy him a used 2016 GT350 9000rpm guage cluster.

This is depressing. I'm boosted and have 3.73 and am hitting the track again next week. I guess it's 5th gear for me until I get some different gears...
Not necessarily. You have a 2018 with the MT82D4 and that is a big difference. The MT82D4 paired with a 3.73 rear end has a taller final drive ratio in 1st thru 5th than a 15-17 MT82 paired with a 3.31 rear end. You also have a higher stock redine at 7400rpm vs 6500rpm for a 15-17. Bone stock a 2018 PP1 with 27.7" 275/40R19 rear tires and a 3.73 rear end tops out at 163MPH in fourth gear at 7400rpm. You are never going to need to shift into 5th in a 1/4 mile. A bone stock 15-17 PP with 27.7" 275/40R19 rear tires and a 3.73 rear end tops out at 109MPH in 4th at 6500rpm and 144mph in 5th at 6500rpm. The MT82D4 much taller geared in 1st thru 5th than the 15-17 MT82.
