I got about 8000 miles on mine after 15 months and pretty much thats where I`m at. Get used to it. That "Break-In" BS is nonsense.

I believe it's the 93 octane "oats" that I feed my Pony, that gives me a bit of extra mileage. Who knows or cares too much...gasoline costs being so reasonable of late?
Enjoy it while we can. About $2.10 @ gal. now for 87 Octane Reg pretty much all over SO FL now. Diesel is now $.10 to $.15 (cheaper) the Reg Gas? For years it was $.50 more despite it being un-refined #2 Heating Oil!

I know my car loosened up quiet a bit in the first 2,000 miles......my 0-60 dropped by about 1 second after the first oil change at 2500 miles. mpg went up slightly, maybe 1-2mpg...I broke my car in, pretty hard....at about 6500 miles now

I can`t dismiss the (possibility) that the 0-60 might have dropped by a second but increasing MPG more then 1-2 , ain`t gonna happen. Just refuel and enjoy......If your were looking for Fuel Economy, you would've bought a C-Max Hybrid. Oh, almost forgot, I did!

so the motor can lossen up....but that doesn't effect fuel economy...please explain lol

I didn't buy a mustang for fuel economy, but driving 300-400 miles a week, have a car that gets decent mileage is nice. with a tune and a few bolt ons I average 32-33mpg(at 75mph) on pure frwy trips, that's 4-5mpg better than bone stock. just sayin. I didn't do any of these mods in increase mpg, but the fact they helped is nice.

Getting well over 27 in mixed driving now, Eco- what? Very happy. It's no Coyote, but it's a terrific engine, Would love to have the F-150 with this base engine, which I think is what it was made for. Very smooth, and sounds great! No timing belt to replace!

Overall mpg bumped up from 22.9 to 23.2 after a highway trip of nearly 300 miles. The average for the trip itself is about 28 mpg.

my lifetime average over 7,000 miles is 23mpg, which is a miracle given how I drive around town, and the amount of pulls ive done lolololol

About 660 miles on the ODO now, the first tank full gave me about 18.7mpg(computer showed as 15.21), then the second half tank fillup gave 23.59mpg. It seems to be getting better !

Approx 50/50 city highway driving

If I drive like garbage I average around 24 mpg mixed. When I baby it (hypermiling) I can get 36 mpg if I keep it under 60 mph... 70 mph I hover around 32 mpg.

My last tank was 30.5 mpg mixed.

These Cyclone engines are the perfect compromise...nice MPG + ample HP + low maintence
= TRUE VALUE. I'll bet it'll be a long-lived Pony as well.
