My 2017 GT auto (NA, Ford Performance Power Pack 2 calibration) has the 3.55 and I average 23 mpg with mostly rural and freeway driving.
OTOH I did notice when I went from summer tires to all seasons (Michelin Pilot AS3) a while back that the tires like to break loose really easy. My next set (on order) is Continental Extreme Contact 2 summers. Looking forward to some better grips when I get those on.

I guess my point is the 3.55 with NA engine pushes the tires pretty hard and can still get good mileage.
