I got an email from Ford when my build date was changed from April 3 to March 20.

…that’s interesting, I did not, I guess ‘time will tell’…

I know mine is a ‘22 but this seems to be the active thread now.
My dealer has now just given me an ETA of April 8th. 3 months later than I was meant to take delivery. I was days away from expected delivery when I was told the vessel my car was on had a quarantine issue. Waiting for confirmation today as the delivery coordinator didn’t think the date seemed correct.

same with me, going back to my one and only notification which still says


Same with me, entering my one and only notification still stating the week of March 6 I tried the ‘tracking’ option, there on the blue ‘column of stages’ it states the week of Feb 28, but Feb 28 is a Tuesday, not a Monday, so I am not sure that I can rely on it as being accurate. I would rather have it arrive later than earlier so the salt dust on the roads has time to wash away!

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I rather have the production start late March...just in time for Spring. But at the end of the day I'm happy to get it earlier than not at all.

I absolutely agree, we could have received notices of cancelation and to ‘buy a ‘24’, no thank you to that !

Disappointing news confirmed. They said there are still vehicles held up in the quarantine process and apparently mine is one of them. So April 8th is my current ETA according to the dealer. There will MY23 models getting delivered in Australia before I get mine.

I have called Ford Performance a couple times and they always say the same thing “clean build/order…not scheduled yet”. I ordered on 10/08. GT Premium, 401a, Nite Pony Package. I checked with the dealer and they did have allocations and put my order against one. Would feel a lot better if they would just give me a date.

That’s what I’m afraid of!

It appears that those that had early April build dates got pushed to March so it looks like they will be converting the plant over to S650 in early April (just guessing here, I have zero inside info). If you don’t get a build date by the end of this month, I’d start looking for one thats on a dealer lot or in transit (and get on the phone with your dealer). Good luck, hopefully you get scheduled!

Excerpt from ‘Introduce Yourself’…

Decided to get my first Mustang on 12/21… uh oh…. with my dealers help I was able to build out what I wanted, nothing super special. 2023 EcoBoost, Shadow Black, 101A, Auto, Active Exhaust and the Low Gloss Black Rims option… luckily they had 1 EcoBoost left on the Dealer Stock order list, without a build date. Changed it to mine and the waiting begins…. On Friday 01/20 - a build date! 03/27. I’m in no hurry, just so excited that I will be able to get it! (Fingers crossed).

Update..

Another local dealer received a 2023 EcoBoost about 3 weeks ago. Since I hadn’t done a test drive, off I went last Saturday to take a look (only 8 miles away)… Long story short… I picked it up last night.
Once I test drove it, and saw the color, Atlas Blue Metallic, I was sold. Auto, 101a, Act Exh.

Well canceled my order. Dealer couldn’t tell us anything and I agree that it is not looking good. Have a line on a new 2022 that if all goes well I will bring home Monday. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the Nite Pony package or Showstopper red interior. Has everything else and a few others. Has the 20 inch premium wheels. Not sure how I feel about those but they are 265/35/20’s and I do like that. Also has the 3.55 rear axel ratio so that is nice. Overall I think I will be very happy. Wish me luck on Monday.

a little Plasti-dip on the badges, a piece of black vinyl on the roof, and a gorgeous set of Katzkins and you've got a much better answer to the original question.
