So sorry that my twin is delayed — that really sucks. Shortage of something — why not just be open about it Ford! I feel so lucky that mine was delivered last month. Hang in there. I absolutely love mine, and the convertible is sweet. Just finished up a 3,000 mile trip today. Absolutely no issues. Near half of it with the top down! Will be doing a write up this weekend.

My delivery window was last week and now is Oct 12 - 16 for a car I ordered in March. I told the dealer that since the 23s are now open for ordering and the 24s are also announced that my order will be a used car by the time I take delivery. My salesman assures me that the dealer will offer some type of additional incentives. I'll be happy if the car is delivered by Christmas.
If this is the new model for ordering cars, I will probably stick with my older Honda from now on. Major Ford fail.

take this for what it’s worth. Waiting for your dealer and Ford to do the right thing would just be a non starter for me. I would get with someone like Ourisman and order a MY23 right now. After all, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Now you have two orders in play, a 22 & 23. Whichever one comes through first gets your business. But, it you paid MSRP like many here for their MY22 it would be a no brainer to place an order for MY23 at 2.5% back of invoice IMO.

I got mine at 7% below MSRP plus 500 from Ford, so it was a pretty good deal.....Hoping it rolls over to the 23 if needed...

So glad to see folks receiving their cars! Congratulations and enjoy your gorgeous rides! Wondering now, am I the last one left unscheduled? This really sucks. Nothing again this week. Actually looked at some Camaros this week...don't want to do another one, but I'm losing hope on my 22 GT. I'm thinking it's not happening. So disappointed. Any other unscheduled friends out there. Ordered on 6/24 GT Fastback, 301a, Black Accent, Active Valve Exhaust, A10........nothing fancy.

Just spoke to my dealer. They told me to do nothing and my 22 order will convert to a 23 if Ford cancels my order. They will call me to confirm the details to be sure I still want what I ordered originally. Were the same colors still available? Did you notice if Mischievous Purple was still available?

Dont go back to Camaro, stick with the stang! May take a while but mischievous purple is pretty damn cool and it’s coming for 2023 still

Lots were scheduled for October during the scheduling in late August. Maybe next week some scheduling for MY22 for first half of November.

Ahh okay, that puts my curiosity to rest, thank you! I remember folks saying they believed they’d be scheduling MY22 up to November so I thought that was odd if they’d cut October.

Not much if any additional. My BLEND was 7/26. As of 7/28, per FP, it was produced but not released. Changed to BUILT and awaiting shipment on 8/1. Shipped on 8/10 (CONVOY to Flat Rock Railyard, RAIL to Denver (arrived 8/18), CONVOY to dealer in Colorado Springs arriving Friday evening 8/19. PDI done Monday 8/22. I picked it up on 8/23.

I have no idea and maybe @Wingnutzz can chime in, but do the verts have to go through extra checks that the coupes don’t because of all the extra bracing? Maybe that’s part of your hang up? You and I have the same build week so yours should be done by now.

Any concerns about trade in out of state?

ask your local DMV to make sure but I believe in FL what happens is when you register the car, you show them the deal paperwork, how much you bought it for and how much you got paid for the trade-in and how much FL sales tax you got charged up front (if any), even if it was conducted in Virginia or elsewhere, and they will see you are eligible to get the sales tax break/refund.

You won't get FL tags from a VA dealer. Get a 3-day transport permit or the dealer might issue you 10-30day Virginia temp tags for your trip home.

2.5% back of invoice came to about a 7.3% discount from MSRP plus I will still get any rebates being offered. Like I said, nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Did you order a 23 yesterday? The order bank is open?

We should be so lucky. Just because we were close to the front of the line on ordering our MY23 doesn’t necessarily mean that all the problems that popped up on MY22 orders have been resolved. MY22 order which was placed on 7/16 still hasn’t been scheduled! We’re talking a very bare minimum of at least 90 days and that’s if everything goes perfect. Shoot, we’re talking at least two months from now before production begins and there are no guarantees we will even be scheduled in the first batch! But, I like your optimism.



Sounds to me like you are getting one of the dealers incoming stock units. But, it doesn’t matter as long as it’s the one you want.

What do you mean by incoming stock units? They told me it will be exactly as i order, 5.0 a10 301a iconic silver active exhaust. And i tough it will be an 23 but apparently it's 22.

They might of had one exactly like your order on order, so current stock, the only way you will tell is when the window sticker is live if it’s blue it’s stock ordered by the dealer, if it’s green then It’s a custom order

And keep in mind @stangjp50 that no one is saying it's a bad thing to get an inventory Mustang. I'm fairly certain I speak for EVERYONE here that if our exact build were available on a lot - we'd be driving it right now. lol
