I'm seeing this question a lot so I'll say.For those who have received their car, how long after being built did it take to receive your car. Also what is your location and convoy ir rail?
It depends, it's a terrible answer, but it's true. Let me cover the 3 basic situations.
At the bottom of your window sticker it will either say CONVOY or RAIL, this is how it leaves the Flat Rock Plant.
Here's what those mean and how it impacts you.
1) CONVOY & Local Flat Rock Dealer - Your car once "Released" from Flat Rock will be trucked directly to your dealer. This is the quickest option, likely a couple days from when it's released it will be at your dealer.
2) CONVOY & Your dealer is East of the Mississippi - Your car once "Released" from Flat Rock will catch a truck to the New Boston Rail Ramp to board a CSX train. This can take some time, as CSX will need a full rail car before they depart. Once the CSX train arrives at your dealer's closest "Ramp" the car is unloaded and will wait for a local truck to transport it from the Rail Ramp to your dealer, this could take from a week to who knows. It depends on a lot of factors.
3 ) RAIL & Your dealer is west of the Mississippi - Your car once "Released" from Flat Rock will be loaded onto a Canadian National Railways train (ramp is attached to Flat Rock Plant.) And will head towards Salem, IL where the railcar will be transitioned from a Canadaian National Railways train to a Union pacific Train. This Union Pacific train will then make it's way to your dealer's closest rail ramp. Once the Union Pacific train arrives at your dealer's closest "Ramp" the car is unloaded and will wait for a local truck to transport it from the Rail Ramp to your dealer, this could take from a week to who knows. It depends on a lot of factors.
4) CONVOY & Your dealer is west of the Mississippi - Your car once "Released" from Flat Rock will catch a truck to a BNSF Ramp to board a BNSF train. This can take some time, as BNSF will need a full rail car before they depart. Once the BNSF train arrives at your dealer's closest "Ramp" the car is unloaded and will wait for a local truck to transport it from the Rail Ramp to your dealer, this could take from a week to who knows. It depends on a lot of factors.
So unless you're Adventure number one, where the answer is "Couple of days" the timeline will depend on where your dealer is, how far the rail ramp is from your dealer, and how quickly rail ramp workers alongside truck carriers can load/unload/deliver your car.
Enjoy the process!
